- Under thegeneral direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Associate ChiefNursing Officer, and/or Director of Nursing, the ClinicalSupervisor is responsible for maintaining the efficient functioningof all clinical nursing units as per CDPH (Title22).
- The Clinical Supervisor must ensure theadministration of quality of patient care.
- Youwill also, oversee, guide and mentor the nursing staff for yourassigned shift to ensure the plan of care for the patientpopulation.
- The Clinical Supervisor appliesknowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan to identify patient and family requirements relative to agespecific needs.
- Thisposition requires current CA State RNlicensure,
- A two (2) year Associates Degree inNursing and at least three (3) years of acute clinical practiceexperience with an emphasis onleadership.
- ICU/Critical Care experience and aBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) ispreferred.
- Must be BLS EKG, and ACLScertified.
- This position requires the abilityto communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to followwritten and verbal instructions, and to maintain effective workingrelations with others.
- This position requiresendurance to perform tasks over long periods of workhours.

PositionSummary;
TheClinical Supervisor:
A. Is responsible forinitiating, guiding, and supervising the coordination of servicesprovided by the all nursing units.
B. Functions as aresource person for staff members and assists in necessaryeducation of all members of the clinical staff.
C. Assumesresponsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided byspecified units.
D. Maintain and upholds to CVSH Standardsof Conducts and ensures staff members are withinguidelines.
E. Is responsible for the disciplinary processwhen necessary for staff members under theirsupervision.
F. Ensures systems and processes dictated byFacility's policy and procedures are observed and followedcorrectly. Makes decisions regarding activities in areas ofresponsibility based on Facility's Administrative Standards, HumanResources Standards, Divisions of Nursing ClinicalSupervisor.
