    Conduct chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing within the laboratory.
    Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for test methods.
    Analyze chemical and mechanical testing results on a monthly basis and generate Statistical Quality Control (SQC) data.
    Implement defined Quality control methods, including daily standardization, CRM checks, and inspections.
    Manage inventory of consumables for spectrometers, ensuring adequate stock levels of items like Argon gas and Abrasive papers.

    Ensure timely completion of testing activities in compliance with relevant material standards (e.g., ASTM, EN, DIN, ISO, NACE).Establish and maintain effective traceability and identification systems for testing processes within the laboratory.

    Oversee the preparation of testing specimens through subcontracted facilities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.

    Coordinate the provision of Certified Material Test Reports (CMTR) to customers and arrange dispatch of castings with CMTR.Develop and maintain relationships with external subcontracting laboratories for testing purposes.

    Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices within the laboratory.
    Manage inspections and testing procedures related to the laboratory, including 3.2 inspections.
    Conduct inspections of raw materials as part of the testing process to ensure quality and compliance.
    Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Metallurgy, or related field.
    Previous experience in the Material testing laboratory and QC, preferably worked in the steel casting foundry.
    Experience with ISO17025 laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) is a significant advantage.

    Proficiency in operating Material testing equipment, including Universal Testing Machines (UTM), Impact testers, Hardness testers, and Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES).Hands-on experience with Metallurgical Microscopes and proficiency in conducting Corrosion testing.

    Knowledge of Heat treatment processes and familiarity with Steel Melting practices is desirableStrong understanding of relevant material standards and testing methodologies.

    Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
    Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and best practices.
    Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in testing procedures.
