    Description

    IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi invites applications for Assistant Professors in Chemistry. The successful candidates will deliver high-quality teaching, mentor outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, pursue impactful, interdisciplinary research, and contribute to institution-building. The institute currently offers three B.Tech. programs and is set to expand its program and research shaped by faculty expertise and the institute's strategic vision. Built on the strong foundation of IIT Delhi, IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi seeks to advance innovation, research, and global engagement in emerging chemical technology domains.

    We invite applications in (but not limited to) the following areas:

    • Computational and Theoretical Chemistry
    • Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Physicochemical and Biological Processes
    • AI-ML applications in Chemistry - GNN and LLMs
    • Organic Synthesis and Catalysis
    • Transition Metal and Organometallic Chemistry
    • Electrocatalysis
    • Physical Organic Chemistry

    Outstanding candidates in other areas of Chemistry will also be considered.

    Requirements

    • Ph.D. in Chemistry from a reputed institution
    • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Chemistry from a reputed institution
    • For Assistant Professor positions, we typically seek candidates with some post-doctoral experience. However, recent doctoral graduates may also be considered if they have an exceptional academic record

    • Research Statement (approximately 1,500 words)
    • Teaching Statement (approximately 1,000 words)
    • Top five publications that best demonstrate your research contributions
    • Names and contact details of three referees, who have agreed to serve as references and may be contacted by IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi
