    Description

    Summary:

    AMaterial engineer will work closely with Design Engineers, ProjectEngineers, Designers, Manufacturing personnel, Vendors, Clients,Project Managers, and others. You will create, improve, verify, andmaintain material specifications in support of the Company sprojects.

    Dutiesand Responsibilities:

    • ReviewMTR s, manufacturing process plans, NDE procedures, weld procedurespecifications from vendors to ensure compliance to code and clientspecifications
    • Assistthe senior welding and material engineers in supporting new forgingand weldingqualifications.
    • Updateand maintain Trendsetter materialspecifications
    • Updateand maintain Trendsetter coatingspecifications
    • Reviewclient specifications during tendering to identifygaps
    • Assistin resolving NCR s related to materials andwelding
    • Participatein client audits andreviews
    • Befamiliar with Company HSE policies andprocedures.
    • Shareknowledge & best practice across thecompany.
    • Allother duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelorof Science in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science,Metallurgical Engineering, or relatedfield
    • 03 years work experience, preferred. Candidates with more years ofexperience will also be considered if the experience is subseaindustryspecific.
    • Familiaritywith forging process, heat treatment, destructive andnon-destructivetesting
    • Experiencewith standard test methods for mechanicaltesting
    • Directexperience reviewing mill test reports, manufacturing processplans, NDE procedures and weld procedurespecifications
    • Experiencewith welding (AWS D1.1/D1.1M, ASME Section IX, API RP 1104) is aplus
    • Experiencewith epoxy coating systems is aplus
    • Must be flexibleand able to work autonomously as well as underdirection.
    • Extensiveknowledge and experience with MS Office or similar software isrequired.
    • Stronginterpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written,are necessary.The ability to handle multiple projects and deadlineswith changing priorities isnecessary.
