The job responsibility of a Food and Beverage Supervisor may vary depending on the establishment they work for, but generally includes the following:

  • Managing Staff: The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of servers, bartenders, and other staff members. This involves hiring, training, scheduling, and ensuring that all employees are following company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service: The Food and Beverage Supervisor ensures that all customers receive excellent customer service. They may need to handle complaints, answer questions, and address any issues that arise.
  • Menu Planning: The Food and Beverage Supervisor works with the kitchen staff to plan menus for events, banquets, and other special occasions. They may also be responsible for developing new menu items and updating existing ones.
  • Inventory Management: The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for ordering supplies, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that the bar and kitchen are properly stocked. They may also be responsible for conducting regular inventory audits.
