Description

As a Health and Food Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for implementing safety and risk management processes for assigned restaurants to deliver safe customer satisfaction.

A Health and Food Safety Inspector will also be required to conduct full investigations and audit the restaurant to ensure health and safety compliance.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Implement safety risk management practices in line with the company's health and safety policy.
• Audit the Restaurant to confirm Health and Safety/Food Hygiene compliance.
• Train Health and Safety /Food Safety issues to managers, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Assist the facilities department in monitoring contractors and enforcing Health and Safety standards as required.
• Carry out food poisoning investigations, writing to manufacturers as required, and analyzing Hazard Analysis information.
• Monitor and interpret microbiological results from food sampling of all Restaurant kitchens and advise accordingly.
• Handles administrative works and keeps updated files on the following Hygiene matters: (Statutory audits budget, External lab expenses, and Other operational expenses)
• Keeps aware of trends, systems, practices, and equipment in Food Safety Management through trade literature, restaurants show and site visits People.
• Conducts kitchen inspections, environmental and food hygiene conditions and provides a corrective action plan, and keeps a record of findings.
• To perform microbiological analysis of food & beverages, hand, and linen equipment, swab testing, and falling aerial count check.
• Checking that all food items for storage are covered, dated, and labeled.
• Coordinates microbiological food tests in the kitchen and laboratory in case of new products, supplies, and suspected foodborne illness complaints.
• Maintains documentation on all hygiene and food safety standards throughout the operation.
• Ensures the hygiene standard of Food and Beverage production and service within the Restaurant.
• Works closely with the local Hygiene and Health authorities/ agencies and coordinates with all related matters that involve the Restaurant and the authorities.
• Provides advice to the Management to ensure environmental hygiene.
• Works closely with Human Resources to ensure all employees attend the medical check and obtain the necessary Health Card as required by the local authority.
• Takes all necessary actions to ensure the Restaurant passes the Hygiene inspection and successfully obtains the essential Hygiene License.
• To have a complete understanding and strictly adheres to the Restaurant Policies & Procedures related to Hygiene, Food, Health, and Safety.

POST-GRADUATION COURSES

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry

CERTIFICATE COURSES
- (HACCP) HAZARD ANALYSIS and CRITICAL CONTROL POINTS
- (FSMS) FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
- (GHP) GOOD HYGIENE PRACTICE
- (GMP) GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE
- (FSSC FOOD SAFETY SYSTEM CERTIFICATION

- (ISO Job Requirements:

• 5years' progressive experience in Health and Food Safety Inspector.
• Knowledge: Best practices in Quality Management System
• FSMS, HACCP, SOP, GHP, GMP, Quality system monitoring and auditing.
• Indepth knowledge of food science and technology, process control and improvement.
• Strong fluency in English and knowledge in another language will be plus
• Strong leadership, excellent communication skills (verbal & written), interpersonal & customer service skills
• Have experience in managing multiple sites/ branches
