    Job Summary:


    Provides immediate leadership, guidance and supervision for all assigned Materials employees , ensuring that all activities are undertaken in an efficient and effective manner.

    Plans and oversees the execution of day to day operational activities within the department, with particular emphasis on inventory control, cataloguing and repairable store activities.

    Ensures that all materials activities are accomplished in accordance with all contract requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and company procedures.

    Builds a team who communicate effectively and meet frequently to review and discuss processes, procedures and issues for improvement. Develops, implements, revises and enforces all supply directives within the Materials Department.

    Ensures the process is maintained within ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System standards.

    Learns, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives. Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment. Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.

    Responsibilities:
    Responsible for the immediate leadership, guidance and supervision for all assigned Materials Department employees.

    Plan and oversee the execution of all supply activities within the Materials Department, with particular emphasis on inventory control, cataloguing and repairable store activities.

    Develop, implement, revise and enforce all supply directives within the Materials Department .
    Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
    Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.

    Review the job performance and training of all Materials Department employees to ensure the successful and effective accomplishment of all required tasks.

    Manage and coordinate all aspects of inventory control, cycle counts, reconciliation and adjustments. Facilitate inventory causative research and train supervisors in the process.
    Provide oversight for spares inventory records using the Computerised Maintenance Management system (CMMS) SAP inventory module.

    Manage and coordinate all aspects of material master clean-up, creating and amending, and update of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) information.

    Provide oversight of the spares master record using the CMMS SAP item master application.
    Direct operations of the repairable store and coordinate asset management for all material categorised as rotating . Interact with the customer to drive or resolve issues surrounding rotating assets.
    Facilitate projects that deal with rotating assets. Interact with the Manager, Warehouse Operations and distribution to assist with planning and analysis for rotating assets.
    Facilitate customer review of appropriate rotating spares stock levels and reorder points.
    Ensure that proper processes and procedures are maintained; working towards standardisation and integration of all inventory processes.
    Develop, implement and enforce standardised performance metrics for all sections of the Materials Department.
    Monitor all direct labour man hours.
    Ensure that all Materials Department related documentation is completed in accordance with all maintenance directives.
    Develop, implement and enforce standardised performance metrics for the Materials Department.
    Prepare, review and manage the Materials Department budget.
    Apply continuous improvement and LEAN management principles so that the department may become as efficient and effective as possible.
    Recommend and provide additional training when determined necessary.
    Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
    Perform other duties as required by the Director, Supply and Material.

    Qualifications & Experience:
    Bachelor degree in Business or Supply Chain Management required, Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in the same field

    A minimum of six to eight years of experience supervising, managing, and/or directing a team in supply chain management is required.

    Previous experience in warehouse management, including inventory management and cataloguing is preferred.
    Previous military experience or logistics/supply experience is an advantage.
    Provision and procurement experience is an advantage.
    Knowledge in continuous improvement and LEAN principles are preferred.
    Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
    The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required; Arabic is an advantage.
    Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver s license.
