Our client is one of the government councils in Abu Dhabi, that is looking into hiring a Finance Manager (UAE National) to join their team.

Someone who can lead a team across the Financial Control section of Shared Services and financial process improvements whilst ensuring the efficient and timely running of the finance operations for the organization


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Participate in the design and lead the implementation of Financial Control Shared Services roadmap to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of core accounting and finance processes and activities.

Effectively communicate Financial Control Shared Services strategy and roadmap and future operating model across the organization

Build, manage, develop, and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports in the achievement of business and functional objectives.

Create and implement a customer service culture, including establishing and reporting on key performance metrics that measure and monitor the effectiveness and service levels of the Financial Control Shared Services organization.

Develop, implement and maintain system of effective internal controls within the Financial Shared Services organization and work closely to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are compliant to international standards and best practices.

Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of Financial Control Shared Services and business objectives through collaboration, information sharing, and communication.

Determine, agree and improve contractual requirements, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with Financial Control Shared Services customers in order to meet service specifications and deliver against business objectives.

Lead month-end close for the Financial Control Shared Services organization

Recruit, motivate and develop talent in the organization with the focus of building a strong performing team that includes global process owners and local process managers.

Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Preferably ACCA/CPA certifications or any other accounting and/or finance related certifications.

10 years in progressive operational accounting experience, including 5+ years of experience managing and leading a financial shared services environment.

Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of financial shared service operations.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both written and oral) Experience in leading process excellence and performance improvement
Ability to think strategically, manage uncertainty and risk, and balance multiple competing priorities
