We are inviting applications for a three-yearPost-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYUAbu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD inpolitical science or a related discipline.
The post-doctoral associate willspend half their time on independent research, and half of theirtime on collaborative research with Drs. Leonid Peisakhin, JoanBarceló, and Jeff Jensen.
The collaborative researchwill be in the field of historical legacy research, with anemphasis on the legacy of conflict and historical institutions.
This position is open as to geographicalarea.
The ideal candidate will specialize inhistorical political economy and will have an interest in conflictstudies, post-conflict reconciliation, as well as broader topics inpolitical economy; strong candidates with research interests inother subfields will also be given full consideration.
Experience working with historical sources and familiarity withpublic opinion research would be helpful, but notrequired.
The position does not requireteaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience forcompensation. You would be part of a group of over 20 post-doctoralfellows and 70 faculty in the Division of SocialScience.
