Job Summary:

• The Data Analyst provides business and technical expertise incollecting, analyzing, mining data to support enterprise datamanagement solutions.

The Data Analyst will work on, and may lead,project teams to support a variety of customer needs in the designand development of data solutions. They will also play an advisoryrole in the analysis of source data, modelling, ETL solutiondesign, development and testing.

EssentialDuties:

• Conduct analysis of source systems to understand the data, types ofdata, relationships and quality.
• Collaborate with the business and technical teams to identifysource systems
• Create functional & technical documents documenting theplan and findings of analysis in order to act as a foundation ofknowledge of the data within a system(s).
• Collaborate with business users to identify attributes that requiredata quality and corresponding business rules.

Profile data,analyse user requirements, and translate & apply businessrules to data quality rules.

• Through data profiling and data quality assessments, produce andunderstanding of the overall condition of data within a system(s),documentation of the issues, and in the case of data issues, therecommendations to remediate.
• Contribute to corporate data management best practices andimplementation methodologies by reviewing, updating, developingdocuments such as templates, presentations, trainings, etc.
• Lead and mentor junior developers in data quality standards, bestpractices, etc.
• Stay current on new Data Quality & Analysis practices andsupporting technologies.
• Participate in the creation and management of engagement proposalsand Statements of Work.
• Provide support to the sales team for new customer opportunitiesand new opportunities with existing customers.
• Assist with the recruiting and interviewing of new employees andcontract resources.
