Job Description:


  • The main purpose of this position is to develop and deliver on market access strategies for Sandoz portfolio with regard to optimal pricing and reimbursement, demonstrate and communicate the value of Sandoz products and build working relationships with public and commercial payor stakeholders and health authorities to assure smooth reimbursement. Anticipate the future trends in the market by developing innovative responses in order to proactively build sustainable competitive actions.
  • Effectively supporting the plan of new launches to accelerate and maximize patient access to treatments. Work with stakeholders such as payers, physicians, governments, patient associations, etc., to ensure Sandoz is valued and respected partner in patient care.
  • Build a strong sustainable partnership with payers and policy makers in both private and government sectors
  • Develop and execute market access strategies to influence and accelerate favourable pricing and reimbursement decisions for biosimilars, key market brands and new launches.
  • Establishes Market Access advisory network including payers, policy makers health economists, clinical opinions leaders, patient groups, payers from local markets and engage them in the development of access strategies/projects
  • Build and disseminate Sandoz Brands added value proposition to relevant stakeholders (Payers, Policy makers, Health Authorities, Pharmacists, Insurance, Physicians, etc )
  • Support Health Authorities in establishing local policies linked to generics and biosimilars for them to be able to assess economic impact versus clinical benefit.
  • Maximize the commercial opportunities and minimize access challenges and threats to Sandoz business through developing, implementing and managing innovative Access Programs, government partnerships and Commercial Agreement with Health insurance companies and payers.
  • Identify access gap for near to launch and current products as part of life cycle management (reimbursement and/or payor limitation, government budget allocation, major Health Care institution priorities).
  • Capture insights and feedback about the market and commercial threats and opportunities in order to shape business strategy formulation.
  • Provide insight and analyses regarding country policy and reimbursement models for biosimilar therapies in Gulf and Levant.
  • Interact in external debates around access and reimbursement issues with the aim of achieving better market access of a given therapy.
  • Participate in local Market Access committees and activities towards prioritization, alignment, sharing experiences and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of Cross-Functional Collaboration based on internal and external stakeholders' focus, trust and respect.
  • Understand, analyse and demonstrate the clinical, economic and social value of products to Payers, Health Insurance Companies decision makers and decisionmaking process.
  • Support Sales personnel and Key account manages in daytoday emerging access challenges with health insurance companies.
  • Build, drive, monitor and support the patient support programs
  • Monitor the Regulatory & Policy environment changes and reforms of health insurance and financing, and support and coordinate with all involved.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Education:
  • University degree: Business Discipline/ Life Sciences / Medicine / Public Health/ Health Economics

Experience:


  • Minimum 34 years of experience in Market Access or KAM in the pharmaceutical industry or Health care organization
  • Knowledge of countrybased healthcare system and policies
  • Network among government officials, policy makers and payers with solid understanding of operations
  • Strong knowledge in health economics and value propositions
  • Ability to drive successfully projects and teams in a matrix environment (Cross-Functional Collaboration)
  • High level of understanding of pricing & reimbursement models
  • Strong negotiations and presentation skills

Languages:

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (Verbal and written)
