TheIMS Training Instructor is responsible for preparing and deliveringboth theoretical and practical training, relating to the IMS, andassessing trainee performance and evaluating the efficacy of thetraining system. Formal Training will occur within the QatarTyphoon Training Facility (QTTF) augmented by mentored trainingwithin the operational environment, asrequired.

Keyaspects of theIMStraining instructor roleincludes:

-Preparationand delivery of the allocated course in accordance with theauthorised Syllabus, and associated materials, in line the trainingschedule

-Invigilatingand marking examinations and assessments and markingassessments.

-Thecontinuous assessment, evaluation and reporting of traineeprogress

-Reportingtrainee absences to your training manager and/or Head ofMaintenance.

-Ensuringthat equipment pre-use checks are carried out and associatedapproved data is available before trainingcommences

-Ensuringtraining is conducted safely and that training areas, includingtraining aids, classrooms, workshops are left in a safecondition

-Maintainingdiscipline of your allocated trainees at all times; this includesbreak times and during changeover between trainingareas

-Reportingtrainee absences to your TrainingManager

-TrainingInstructor IMS is expected to fulfil specific roles in support ofthe QTTF (when appointed by the TrainingManager):

CourseCoordinator.

SubjectLead.

Equipmentcoordinator.

Otherduties as determined by the TrainingManager.

-Developmentand maintenance of their own Instructorcompetencies.

-Actively commit to continuous improvement as anintegral part of the primary duties by identifying and reportingcourse deficiencies (omissions and/or inaccuracies) andimprovements to the training system and materials to the TrainingManager.

Requirements

Possessa Training Qualification at Level 3 or above e.g. Level 3 Award inEducation & Training, Level 4 Certificate in Education& Training, Level 5 Diploma in Education &Training.

Possessa minimum recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevantaircraft maintenance discipline, or suitableequivalent.

Recentin-depth experience, to a level appropriate for their role, withina Maintenance & Support environment (typically a minimum of5 years), including direct experience of supporting Trainingactivities.

Understandsthe Regulatory Framework and its applicability to the trainingsystem, processes andactivities.

Minimumof 2 years experience of delivering training and having operationalknowledge and understanding of instructional delivery and mentoringactivities, and the associated business key performancemetrics.

Undertakesa range of work requiring a professional understanding of Trainingstructures andprocesses.

Experiencedgeneralist applies understanding within and across a professionalarea of knowledge, including how solutions are developed andimplemented. Self-sufficient in all common aspects ofTraining.

Undertakesthe more complex professional work of an area, provides a serviceto the Trainingteam.
