- Work Planning: Develop and daily adjust operational plans and production schedules for the CSD fleet to meet project goals for reclamation and deepening.
- Production Control: Daily monitoring of dredger performance (m³/hour), optimizing operational modes, and controlling slurry pumping and reclamation processes.
- Readiness Assurance: Oversee the condition of all auxiliary vessels (tugs, barges, pipelines) and equipment to maintain a continuous production cycle.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the CSD crew, deck teams, mechanics, and operators, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Technical Supervision: Ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of CSD primary and auxiliary equipment (pumps, cutter head, engines, hydraulics).
- Spare Parts Management: Control and maintain inventory of critical spare parts, manage Purchase Requests (PRs), and oversee procurement activities.
- Downtime Reduction: Analyze the root causes of downtime, develop, and implement corrective actions to maximize technical availability (utilization rate).
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all HSE rules and procedures, local (UAE) and international maritime standards aboard the vessel.
- Quality Assurance: Control the quality of dredging and reclamation works in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain all operational, technical, and certification documentation for the dredger fleet up-to-date.
- Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on work progress, production metrics, resource consumption (fuel, consumables), and deviations.
- Interface Management: Coordinate closely with Project Management, the Engineering Department, Survey Department, and Client representatives.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years
of overall experience in marine construction, with at least 5 years
of direct management or supervision experience with Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) operations. - Equipment Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the design, operation, and maintenance of CSD vessels.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project is a plus) and MS Office Suite.
- Certification: Possession of relevant maritime certificates and licenses required for work in the Middle East.
- Languages: Fluency in English
(written and verbal) is mandatory. - Work Location: Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi on a rotational basis.

1. Position Summary
The CSD Manager is fully responsible for the management, planning, and safe execution of all dredging and reclamation activities utilizing the Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) and its associated fleet. The primary objective is to maximize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure that work volumes strictly comply with project specifications and stringent HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
