    Secondary History Teacher

    Kings' School Al Barsha is seeking a Secondary History teacher to join our rapidly expanding school from August 2024. The department is established as a central part of school life and has quickly gained a reputation for academic excellence, with parents and students alike viewing History as a desirable university choice and career pathway.

    Supporting pupils as they work towards their GCSE and A Level exams, you will play a vital role in their ever-evolving learning journey. You will be expected to deliver an education that allows each student to excel, explore, and succeed.

    Requirements and Experience:

    Essential:

  • Hold Bachelor's Degree relevant to the teaching Subject or equivalent
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and sheer enthusiasm for the subject that you are ready to share with our students
  • Experience of teaching GCSE and A Level
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience, though new teachers who are aspiring to be outstanding will be considered
  • Able to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of delivering outstanding results
  • A highly collaborative nature and strong communication skills
  • Evidence of commitment to recent professional development relevant to this role
  • Ideas that will help to further the high profile of the department within the school
  • ICT skills that reflect the impact of technology in today's classrooms
  • A commitment to the extra-curricular programme
  • A commitment to the well-being and pastoral care of all students within their care
  • Innovative, creative and positive mindset Desirable:
