Site Technical Support Engineer - Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Alamar

Description

We are seeking for a Site Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in IT procurement, system and network installation and maintenance, POS systems, CCTV systems, structured cabling, and office 365 support. In addition, the candidate will provide end-user support, carry out a routine backup of systems and servers, and respond to IT issues (hardware and software). The role shall cover UAE, Qatar & Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in IT procurement.
• Design and implement system and network for new stores.
• Possess a good knowledge of POS systems.
• Hands-on experience in implementing CCTV systems and structured cabling.
• IT support for existing stores
• Provide Office 365 support.
• Provide end-user support.
• Maintenance of IT equipment in the office
• Carry out a routine backup of systems and servers in the office and stores as required
• Store support
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Respond to IT issues (hardware and software)
• Answer calls and provide necessary support over phone/email/physical visit.
• Help the IT Manager update and create new SOPs.
• Support other departments with necessary details and reports during audits
• Administrate data and network security, including virus protection, group policy, firewall, routers, switches, and email security
• Perform system updates.
• Retail/F&B background preferred.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 – 4 years of experience in IT technical support preferably in QSR or Retail Industry.
• Must have UAE license.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Retail/F&B industry experience preferred.
