Summary:

The Lead HSE Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy across construction projects. The role ensures full compliance with UAE laws, international standards, and company HSE policies while driving a strong culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage HSE programs, policies, and site teams across multiple projects.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, ISO standards, and company safety requirements.

• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental monitoring.

• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.

• Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.

• Prepare HSE performance reports and ensure accurate documentation.

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and authorities to maintain safe site operations.

• Promote sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement in HSE practices.

Job requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Environmental Engineer within the construction industry.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Safety

• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.

• Minimum 6–8 years of HSE experience in the construction industry.

Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of HSE systems, audits, and incident investigations.

• Ability to lead teams and influence safety culture.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
