    Description

    Therole of the Legal Affairs Senior Specialist is to ensure Legalcompliance and provide proactive legal assistance and advice onvarious legalsubjects.

    Main roles&responsibilities

    • Draftreview and negotiate Agreements and documents (including but notlimited to project terms and conditions corporate Agreementssuppliers nondisclosure Agreements and other Contracts relating tothe Universitys activities) to ensure that the Universitys bestContractual and beneficial position is attained.
    • Undertake policy andprocedure analysis; assisting in implementation of policy decisionsthrough changes to administrative system interpreting legislativedecisions.
    • Review reportsand other Universitys activities assigned by the Chancelloroffice.
    • Refer to legalaspects related to intellectual property offering programsinternationally etc. while taking into consideration HBMSUdistinguished nature as a smartuniversity.
    • Overseesetting the scientific context and the knowledge structure forreports memoranda circulars and other communications issued by theChancellors office.
    • Suggest measures andprocedures for the support of the Universitys Legal Affairspractice and assure optimum protection of the University interests.
    • Preparation of cases todefend the University before Judicial Bodies and reports requiredby Governmental Authorities concerned in relation to the processand operation of theUniversity.
    • Review andadvise management on legal implications of internal policies andprocedures.
    • Review allContracts and any other documentations where the University hascommitted itself and assess legal implications that need to bebrought to the executive managementsattention.
    • Preempt andminimize legal and regulatory risks and costs for University due toRegulatory noncompliance relatedissues.
    • Ensure thedrafting of legal documents such as Contracts Power of AttorneysAgreements etc. for University is done in a timely accuratemanner.
    • Interact closelywith personnel at all levels of the Universitys project managersbusiness executives and support units as to their needs andrequirements.
