Description

A Bakery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a bakery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing staff, and ensuring that products are made to the highest standards.

They supervise the production of baked goods, manage stock levels, and ensure that all equipment and facilities are kept in good working order.

In addition, a Bakery Supervisor may be responsible for managing sales and marketing initiatives, coordinating with suppliers, and monitoring financial performance.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role, as is a passion for baking and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.


  • Plan and organize the production, storage and dispatch of bakery products
  • Ensure that Health and Safety requirements are maintained
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and guidance
  • Keep up to date with new products and baking techniques
  • Order ingredients, equipment and supplies
  • Manage staff rotas and holidays
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance procedures
Bakery Supervisor Requirements

  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage stock and ordering
  • Handson experience with baking equipment
