As the Head Chef, you will be the visionary mastermind, crafting unforgettable dining experiences and setting the standards for culinary innovation.


Your role at Andaz Dubai The Palm is pivotal to the successful operation of our food and beverage division, aligning with corporate strategies and brand standards while meeting the expectations of employees, guests, and owners.


You will report to the General Manager and will work hand-in-hand with the F&B Director, ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of all outlets and banquets in accordance with the hotel's standards.


Your key responsibilities are:

  • To provide strong leadership to a team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, responsibility, and cooperation.
  • To inspire and motivate team members to deliver exceptional results in line with the hotel's standards and objectives.
  • To operate with excellence, oversee all culinary operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service, to ensure adherence to established standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • To have thorough knowledge of financial management of operations will add value such as managing food costs, minimizing waste, and maximizing revenue opportunities to achieve profitability targets for the department, while maintaining a focus on delivering highquality cuisine.
  • To personally engage guests to understand their preferences, address any concerns, and ensure a personalized dining experience that exceeds expectations. Cultivate relationships with guests to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. Teamwork, collaboration, and demonstrating values are our leadership expectations.
  • To work towards fostering professional and personal development of team members through training, coaching, and feedback.
  • To encourage a culture of continuous learning and growth within the culinary team.
  • To enhance efficiency, you will be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances, including seasonal variations, dietary preferences, and special requests, to ensure guest satisfaction and operational success.
  • To be a strong communicator within the culinary team and with other departments to facilitate collaboration and alignment with the hotel's goals and objectives.
  • To implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout all stages of food production, from sourcing ingredients to final presentation, to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence.
  • To lead by example by actively participating in culinary operations, demonstrating technical expertise, and providing guidance and support to team members during peak service periods.

Qualifications:

University degree or diploma in Hospitality in Food Production from a reputed Institute. Minimum 2 years work experience as Head Chef, or Executive Sous chef in a five star hotel or Resorts. Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity are a must.
