Your Mission
As the IT System Administrator, you will manage the company's IT system ensuring that 24/7 continuity is available. You will have excellent customer service skills being able to provide an effective people-related support function. You will be the key point of contact for new and existing employees in relation to all IT matters.

You will be a solution finder being able to install and manage new IT systems in accordance with company strategy.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring the allocation of ICT resources and preparing appropriate reports
• Installing and administering hardware systems; networking devices, servers, telephone systems and any other devices required by our company operations
• Managing security and risk management
• Implementing company policy relating to operating systems, storage and networks
• Installing and administering Windows and Linux software systems
• Installing and administering Mac and Windows
• Be the key point of contact for new and existing employees in relation to all IT matters
• Able to communicates with employees on ICT matters that need to be addressed
• Participate in routine maintenance and respond strategically to the improvement of existing IT infrastructure
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external service providers organising warranty and repairs of ICT equipment, being able to negotiate resolutions where appropriate
• Contribute to the company's IT strategy
• Prioritise workload to meet outcomes, review progress of projects and provide feedback where necessary
• Bachelor's Degree in IT Systems or equivalent
• Excellent command of the English language oral and written
• Experience with IT systems for newsroom/office environments
• General knowledge about newsroom workflows and production systems
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex problems
• Excellent interpersonal skills to support daily contact with all stakeholders in a diverse multicultural environment
• Proficient active listening skills to understand and adapt to stakeholder needs
• Able to demonstrate troubleshooting skills with networking, hardware & software
• Ability to work individually and in collaboration
• Able to work in a pressurised environment
• Motivated to learn and adapt to changing technology
• Readiness to work overtime if the company needs require it
