Job Role: Marine WeldingSupervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and evaluate welding procedures inconjunction with the quality team
• Implementand maintain welder qualifications
• Assist withthe tooling and fixturing designs required for weldoperation
• General welding, cutting, andfabrication equipment knowledge, theory, application, maintenance,and testing
• Control of production weldquality
• Application of welding codes andstandards
• Personnel management andsupervision, including mentorship of junior welders
• Enforce site and personnel safety
• Review and edit documentation, including work reports andrecord keeping

BASICQUALIFICATIONS

• 5+years of professional experience in flux-cored arc welding (FCAW)and gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
• 5+ years ofprofessional experience in metal fabrication
• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role

PREFERRED SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE:

• 10+ yearsof professional experience in flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) and gasmetal arc welding (GMAW) on structural and pipe applications (bothin a shop and field environment)
• Shieldedmetal arc welding (SMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW)experience
• Aluminum gas tungsten arc welding(GTAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) experience
• 10+ years of professional experience in metalfabrication
• 5+ years of experience in asupervisory role
• Experience managing more than10 employees
• Ability to interpret drawings andweld symbols per AWS A2.4
• Knowledge of AWSD1.1, D1.2, and D1.6
• Understanding of thephilosophy and technical aspects of LEAN manufacturing

ADDITIONALREQUIREMENTS:

• Physical effort with climbing up and down stairsregularly throughout the day
• Physical effortwith some handling of light weight supplies or materials (up to25lbs unassisted)
• Work performed in anenvironment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, andnoise
• Must be available to work extended hoursand weekends when needed based on site operational needs;flexibility required
