JobResponsibilities: • Manage lists of sanctioned andblacklisted parties in bank’s payments filter andcustomer screening system. • Provide Head of AML &Sanctions with assurance that all controls required under sanctionsregulations are embedded within the processes of the bank to avoidany sanctions breach and/or establishing relationship with ablacklisted party. • Act as a focal point to the examinersand facilitate trouble-free examination. • ManageRegulatory inspections of the Sanctions area. • Ensureimplementation/regularization of recommendations, if any, withinthe agreed deadline(s). Keep HO Compliance updated with theprogress. • Manage vendor relationships for compliancerelated systems in terms of quality of service, responsiveness,cost etc. Manage Budget and resources to prioritize systemenhancement/ up-grades. • Promptly escalate any criticalissues to ensure that the Bank is not investigated, charged, finedor publicly castigated by any of the regulatory authorities and/orinternational bodies for breach of sanctions Undertake periodicreview or self-assessment of key controls to assess the quality andeffectiveness. Conduct Compliance Monitoring periodically to ensurethere is no lapse of Sanctions requirements/policies. •Provide Sanctions advice and guidance to the other ECF staffmembers/ business & operations. • Report findingsand submit recommendations for corrective action, if required.• Environment – identifying any issues thatcould impact bank. • Manage blacklist-screening systemsfor the bank (multi-jurisdiction); ensure that the lists applicableto each jurisdiction are kept up-to-date at all times and areapplied in accordance with the regulatory requirements.Maintainongoing awareness/knowledge of all applicable internal/externalsanctions requirements and existing/emerging legal/statutory JobRequirements: • Good command over spoken and writtenEnglish. • Efficient and logical approach to problemsolving. • Good presentation skills. • Systemsexpert with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Business Object (BO)reports and Mashreq Systems. • Good knowledge andunderstanding of local AML/CFT rules and legislation, andinternational best-practices/requirements. Qualification &Experience: • Graduate with 5-7 years ofbanking/AML/Sanctions Systems experience. • Knowledge andunderstanding of the International/UNsanctions.
