OpportunityResponsibilities

The DistributionManager is responsible for managing the Expo 2020 Event LogisticsScheduling, Routing and Logistics Distribution System operationsthroughout the Load-In, Event and Decommissioning Phases and willprovide the focal interface for all Logistics related activitiesfor full function integration.The mainresponsibilities of this role include:

• Work directly with Expo 2020 Functional Areasand Departments to identify their scope for distribution servicesand load-in/out activities at all pavilions;

• Assist with the development of thedistribution master schedule and demand model;

• Assist with the development of afleet of vehicles necessary to distribute materials and assetsincluding high value items;

• Develop fleet management systems and procedures– driver recruitment, training, deployment andwelfare;

• Monitordetailed shipping and ground transportation schedules for purchasedFF&E from suppliers to point of delivery;

• Develop Delivery Route Guides forthe site and satellite venues;

• Establish working relationships with relevantstakeholders to ensure compliance with Dubai and Emirati trafficregulations and laws;

• In collaboration with the Logistics Warehouse andLogistics Coordination Center, assist in coordinating and receivingshipments in and out of the Logistics Warehouses;

• On-time Daily, Weekly, andCumulative reporting.

Skills

5+years’ experience in a distribution managementrole;

• A bachelors degree within arelevant field;

• Minimum3 years’ experience in managing a fleet operationsrole;

• Experience incontract management;

• Experience in liaising with and managing contractors andthird party logistics providers;

• Experience managing personnel and being responsible for ateam of individuals;

• Experience in the use of scheduling and/or and transportsystems;

• Excellentexperience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office;

• Excellent communication skills inboth written and spoken English; ability to express complexconcepts clearly and simply;

• Experience in resource rostering andscheduling.
