Description:

TheCivil Engineerisresponsible for planning and conducting independent work requiringjudgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptationof engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises newapproaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings,specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor workfor compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineeringpractices.

PrincipalAccountabilities

• Perform design work for new construction, renovations andimprovement projects for real property facilities and utilitysystems

• Interpret andadapt traditional methods and approaches in developing designcalculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that supportproject objectives and standards

• Provide civil design services including preparation ofcivil/site work drawings, structural evaluations and designs,airfield pavements and water/sewer/storm water designs based onexisting local utilities and facility load and use.

• Follow and implement StandardOperating Procedures (SOP) for design review and projectmobilization as necessary

• Comply with health, safety and environmental rules andprocedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safetyof the work environment
