Job Role: Accountant

Responsibilities and Duties

- Reviewall suppliers invoices and purchase orders for appropriatedocumentation and approval prior to payment

-Prepare cheques and bank transfers

- Reconcilesuppliers SOA and correct discrepancies

- Recordpurchases, sales, payments, collections, expenses, accruals and allother financial transactions in Tally

- Processemployee expense reports, verifying expenses are within the companyguidelines, correcting errors, questioning abnormal expenses andrecord to Tally and HR Works

- Company creditand travel cards reconciliation and communication for obtainingsupporting documentation

- Process bank depositsand petty cash withdrawals

- Check and ensurethat utility bills are received and paid on time

- Reconcile bank and other balance sheetaccounts

- Monitor bank issues including feeanomalies and cheque differences

- Audit bankcharges

- Prepare, send and register invoices toclients

- Follow up on, collect and allocatepayments from clients

- Monitor client accountdetails for non-payments, delayed payments and otherirregularities

- Assist in the auditprocess

- Prepare monthly payroll

- Responsible for the safekeeping and accountability ofthe petty cash fund

- Register, summarize andreconcile petty cash expenses

- Archivefinancial documents such as invoices, pay slips, etc

- Fill out Credit Applications

-Perform other accounts related functions as assigned by the LeadAccountant
