Job Summary The role holder will beresponsible to grow brand market share through provision of aneffective and innovative product portfolio within the right priceand quality in order to drive sales. The role is responsible forcontributing to Business Unit's overall brand strategy, aswell as partnering and maintaining key relationships withprincipals for brands/categories managed and maximizes sales andprofitability. Accountabilities Core Responsibilities o Drive salesfrom the assigned brand by developing comprehensive business planso Studies trends from historical data around brand sales and marketresearch to assist in the overall planning process o Managesconsumer mapping, and is responsible for brand consumersegmentation and differentiation o Ensures optimum utilization ofcustomer research information to guide brand management decisions,including decisions on the introduction of new products, productassortment, promotion and pricing of products in the store oCollaborates with Retail operations to understand consumer trends,sales figures, etc. to further formulate the business plan for thebrand/category o Ensures access to market intelligence throughvarious sources on competition pricing and business and analysis oftrends which may impact the Business Unit o Monitors and analysesbusiness performance by brand sales, sell-out, gross margin andturnover and translates insights into key selling points, orcategory opportunities o Manages and tracks brand sales planningand forecasting processes o Ensures effective 'inseason' management for the given brand of products (stockbalancing, markdown management, stock analysis, stock vs salesperformance). o Leads and oversees the buying requirements andformulates buying plan and budget for the brand and ensures propermonitoring of orders based on the buying plan and follow-ups onmerchandise delivery as per the plan o Manages the relationship andliaises with principals/supplies on matters relating to pricenegotiations, product launches, marketing campaigns, forthcomingofferings and events o Coordinates regular meetings with AreaManagers/Store Managers to share insights arising from marketdynamics and brand performance o Collaborates with the visualmerchandising function to provide brand guidelines andimplementations of the same in all retail outlets o Collaborateswith the retail marketing function, to ensure maximum visibility oftheir category through retail marketing o Analyses sales relateddata for products within the brand portfolio and provides insightsinto enhancing potential sales opportunities o Works with the HumanResource department to coordinate training related to products andcustomer service, to ensure personnel knowledge of key productfeatures and benefits across the stores Specific responsibilitiesfor Brand Managers in Contracted Brands o Analyses sales relateddata for products within the brand portfolio and provides insightsinto enhancing potential sales opportunities o Ensures developmentand reporting of the category review reports on quarterly basisPeople Management o Defines goals and key performance indicatorsfor each member of the team and ensures effective implementation ofthe company's performance management process. o Developstalent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring andcoaching to achieve the defined goals. o Drives a culture offeedback and coaching in the Business Unit by providing feedback onan ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching theemployees on the areas of improvement.
