The successful candidate is expected to teachthe following courses: Drilling Engineering, Reservoir Rock andFluid Properties, well logging, Natural Gas, and PetroleumProduction Engineering (Well Performance). Additionally, thecandidate should be capable of teaching introductory level coursesand supervise senior design projects. All classes and other campusactivities are conducted only in English.

PrimaryResponsibilities

  • Teaching petroleum engineering courses
  • Participation in departmental,school, and university committees and activities
  • Advising and mentoringstudents
  • Participationin outreach activities, such as continuing education workshops,conferences and seminars
  • Involvement in research activities both inside andoutside the department

 

 

RequiredQualifications

  • Ph. D.in Petroleum Engineering from an accredited institution of highereducation
  • Universityteaching experience
  • Effective oral and written English communicationskills
  • Commitment toexcellence in teaching, including the use of high-impacteducational practices, and scholarly activities
  • Interest and experience in workingeffectively with a diverse student population
  • Ability and willingness to workcollaboratively with faculty from different ofdisciplines
