Job Description and Requirements

TheResponsibilities Rewards& Compensation  •Inconsultation with Manager-OD&T, designs, develops andimproves compensation systems and programs through research andknowledge of best practices to ensure they are supportive ofUniversity goals and operations. •Responsible forconducting compensation assessments across levels, with amulti-dimensional approach, for new hires (to ensure appropriateplacement) and existing employees, as required or requested,ensuring the recommendations are effective, fair and objective.•Responsible for application of compensation policies,procedures and principles in a consistent, equitable and objectiveway to enhance trust and confidence in university’scompensation philosophy. •Advises employee community forproviding clarity on matters related to compensation and rewardsprograms, and communicate the relevance and impact of compensationand reward programs to employees.  •Providesrecommendations to Manager-OD&T in the area ofcompensation, rewards and workplace initiatives.   PerformanceManagement •With supervision ofthe OD&T Manager, Responsible to provide support to theemployee performance management system. •Provides support in setting Objectives and KPIs, toensure that employees are setting smart Objectives and measurableKPIs.  •Ongoing management and monitoring ofObjectives and KPIs ensuring all employees have submitted themthrough Oracle, without inaccuracies.  •Createsand analyses Reports on the status of the Performance Appraisalsand ratings assigned, to ensure that they are aligned with themandatory FAHR Distribution.  •Prepares therequired documents and reports for the ModerationCommittee’s review.  •Conducts trainingsessions for employees under the lead of the OD&T manager,regarding Performance Management System related procedures andprocesses.  •Provide Oracle HRMS support to endusers, regarding the use of Performance ManagementSystem.    OrganizationDevelopment & Design •Designs, implements and revises position descriptionsensuring that they are in line with best practices and reflectdimensions of Hay Job Evaluation Methodology. •Inconsultation of Manager-OD&T, responsible for developmentand updating of various staff position grade’sdescriptors. •Works with Academic and Administrativeleaders to ensure appropriate job design and documentation ofresponsibilities. •Study the Organization’sStructure and Design, including Department and Divisions. •Support the implementation of new and ongoing OD programsensuring their timely and effective delivery. •Responsiblefor designing, developing and publishing of almost real-timeautomated organization charts for the entire university and makingsure that the Reporting hierarchy is accurate •Oversees, implements, administers and improves theon-going position evaluation and grading program for staffpositions. •Spearheads Job Evaluation Committee ensuringtechnical consistency while evaluating jobs appropriately, fairlyand consistently on Hay Job Evaluation Methodology. Also,responsible for summarizing the evaluation outcome andrecommendations for approval process and future references.  EventsOrganization •Responsible forOrganizing Community Building Events, such as the End of YearLuncheon Event for all employees including, corporate giftpreparation process, venue and other arrangements. OtherResponsibilities •Works with HR Director on specialprojects and provides recommendations, etc. •Performs special projects and analysis with functionalworking relationships across the HR Department, e.g. withR&L on Performance Management and other salary andclassification related matters, with HR Services (Senior HCISSpecialist) on Salaries, Contracts and organization charts relatedmatters, etc.   TheRequirements  Must possess aBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with aminimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, or anequivalent combination of education and experience. Experience withand in-depth knowledge of the HAY Methodology. Demonstrated successsimultaneously managing multiple projects and priorities,delivering timely and effective results. High degree of computercompetency using email, Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) andweb-based tools. Excellent English communication (verbal andwritten) skills.
