Job Role: Scaffolding Coordinator/Inspector

asic Qualification

  • NVQ Level 3 Scaffolder with relevant approvedrecord card
  • Advanced card from CITB(Construction Industry Training Board) or CISRS (ConstructionIndustry Scaffolding Registration Scheme) or equivalent
  • 10 years working as a scaffolder erecting conventionalscaffolding
  • 10 years of experience as aSupervisor/ Inspector in Oil & Gas industry
  • 15 years of experience in the Scaffoldindustry
  • Able to read complex Scaffold DesignDrawings and verify Contractor’s work

Additional Requirements

  • Expert in understanding & following Company HSEpolicy & procedures
  • Expert knowledgein industry standards related to Scaffolding (BS5973) TG20.4
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a liveoperating plant environment
  • Excellentknowledge of spoken & written English
  • Must have worked in the capacity of a scaffoldingsupervisor for a minimum period of 5 years
  • Gulf experience is preferred &advantageous

Role &Responsibilities

  • Ensure that allScaffolding required in the live operating plant is installedsafely in accordance with the industrial standards and as per theapproved Company procedure
  • Inspect &Certify quality of Scaffolding materials which includes Tubes,boards and fittings to ensure they comply with the correct Companystandards
  • Select and identify suitable type ofscaffolding for the safe execution of works in a live operatingplant
  • Conducts inspection and certifies thequality, suitability and safety of Scaffolding as per theindustrial standard and best practices
  • Monitorthe erection and dismantling of scaffolding as per the approvedmethod statement and in accordance with the plant operatingprocedures
  • Capable of understanding andverifying erection of scaffolding as per the drawings
  • capable of identifying task hazards involved inscaffolding and how to negate them
  • EnsuresScafftags are signed and kept up to date with relevantinformation
  • Inspects all Scaffolds on siteevery seven days and keeps a record for any future audit
  • Provides valuable input in incident investigations withrespect to the integrity of the Scaffolding
  • Maintain a record of the the condition of all scaffoldingmaterials and ensure that they are maintained correctly and areremoved from site and disposed of, if found damaged ordefective
  • To provide advice on the suitabilityof specialized scaffolds supplied by contacting companies withregard to the functionality of the scaffold to meet the health& safety requirements of the Company
  • Ensures implementation of the HSEMS policy and adherenceto safe operations working procedures
  • Assistsin updating work procedures for all practical aspects ofScaffolding work for LNG plant
  • Responsible forensuring standard and quality of work executed by ISPcontractors
  • Coordination with interdepartments on day to day work as essential
  • Provides work recommendation and site advise to scaffoldsupervisors
  • Has frequent contracts withOperations and Plant Maintenance staff to ensure the ongoingrequirements for safely erected scaffolds are maintained
  • Has contact with contractors representatives to inspectcontract work scopes
