Job Role: IT SUPPORT INTERN

Description

The InformationTechnology Support Intern will participate in day-to-day tasks atthe Center for Innovation and Security Solutions (CISS). Thisintern will be a valuable resource supporting a small sized LAN/WANsetup, assisting with software installations, support workstations,operate audio visual equipment, and basic network troubleshooting.The intern will be supervised by an engineer, the IT Manager, andwill participate in team meetings.

This job requires occasional manual labor such ascarrying IT equipment from one location to another, spending longperiods of time sitting on the floor while working on AV/ethernetcables.

Requiredskills, qualifications and experience

Enrolled in a University in the UAE (or recentlygraduated), UAE National or resident studying (or recentlygraduated) at foreign university.

Desiredmajors are in any major. Preference given to IT, Computer Science,and Computer engineering.Desired skills,qualifications and experience

Basic knowledge of network configurations, Microsoftoperating systems, and strong customer service skills. Must havestrong C++/C#, and experience using and developing SDKs, as well asexperience using SVN or similar revision managementsystems.
