Job Role: MEP Senior QuantitySurveyor
Responsibilities andDuties
The successful candidate will manage asmall team of QS's working on pre and post contract work onbehalf of the client. Some of your typical duties willinclude:
• Preparation of costplans
• Tender evaluation &assessment
• Preparation ofrecommendations for award of contractor packages
• Preparing and presenting cash flow &cost management advice to clients
• Interpreting and offering advice oncontract
• Ensuring contractualnotices and client entitlements are properly administered
• Preparation of contractor’spayment recommendations
• Measuring& valuing variations
• Agreement of final accounts
• Management of other members of staff, bothQuantity Surveyors and Measurement Technicians
Desired Skills and Experience
- Musthave previous Middle Eastern experience. Ideally a minimum of 5years experience in the region.
- Must have a strongexposure to working on MEP packages and ideally have worked in aspecific MEP QS role previously
- Recent experience onAirports or other large infrastructure projects is desired
- Ideally have a bias towards working for a Consultancy,however candidates from a Contracting background will beconsidered
- Candidates will need to have a hands onapproach to Quantity Surveying, despite this being a managementrole
- Candidates who have some knowledge andexperience of dealing with claims would be preferred
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Candidates must hold an RICS accredited Degree orsimilar equivalent qualification
- Candidates must be afull member of the RICS or hold a similar equivalent membership toa professional body
