Job Role: Service Manager


EssentialDuties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop field service outage cost estimatesusing standards. Ensure all aspects of the job related to fieldservice are planned accordingly, including schedule, cost, manloading, and job set-up.
  • Plan, prepare, andmanage projects from beginning to end by reviewing projectrequirements, setting up projects, mapping POs, developing andexecuting against cost estimates, establishing project riskanalysis and mitigation strategies, and owning performance relativeto Fulfillment5 and customer KPI/CTQs targets
  • Serve as the additional customer interface withP&L, and communicate with the Customer Service Manager,CSL, and CPM
  • Review and verify the forecast tomaximize utilization and meet catalog targets
  • Review sub-contracts and negotiate terms andconditions
  • Communicate with Field ServiceCoordinators, Resource Managers, EHS Managers, and Staff ProjectManagers to update the job status and ensure project success on adaily basis
  • Lead daily project executionstatus calls, Day 2 calls, and OEL Day 2 spot check calls tomaintain project accountability
  • Own the statusand monitoring of progress and costs of the project with thesupport of the project controls team
  • Conductaudits and inspections on the work teams during the execution ofthe installation, commissioning, receiving, operation andmaintenance activities
  • Analyze and reportproject close out metrics to determine proximity to operating plantargets
  • Review revenue pacing and billing andapprove supplier invoices
  • Manage PO limitreports, placed employees without POs, unbilled shipments, accountsreceivable, and credit card aging to remain within costtargets
  • Lead shift handover review sessions toimprove the effectiveness of future projects
  • Implement corrective actions based upon SafetyObservations, Advanced Communication Notifications, and Root CauseAnalyses
  • Interview candidates and assess jobqualifications to assist with the recruitment and hiringprocesses
  • Reward and recognize strongperformance on the job site via site compensation / incentiveprocess
  • Ensure EHS standards at site are metby working with the Site EHS Specialists to develop and execute FMEplans, customer requirements, and overall OneGE EHS plan complianceand completion
  • Preside over the executionactivities of a team of field employees to include outage managersand construction managers
  • Run or support (asrequired) end customer pre- and post-outage meetings to maximizeproject efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identifythe need and complete requisition process for tooling and 3rd partyvender (labor and non-labor) services
  • Approvetechnical reports generated on site, update documentation asrequired
  • Maintain contact with TFAs runningyou assigned projects for direction, updates and support asneeded
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends andovertime as required by field assignments
  • Youmay be assigned other duties to help proactively drive ourFieldCore vision and align with our organization’s corevalues.

Required Qualifications &Experience:

  • 5 to 7years applicable experience and demonstratedsuccess/knowledge
  • 3+ years managing anddeveloping employees
  • 3+ years ofspecialized/industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relatedfield with minimum 5 years project managementexperience;
  • Experience in power generation ortechnical industry can be substituted for degree and/or projectmanagement experience
  • English proficiencyrequired
