Job Role: Manager Communications Strategyand Planning

JOBPURPOSE:
Prepares and directs theCommunication department’s financial planning process,including budget and maintenance of the business plan. Alsosupports the development and implementation of overallcommunication strategy/initiatives throughout the year, includingvarious cross functional projects in line with the department anddivision strategy.
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Communication Strategy and Planning:
•Lead the development of an integrated communication planfor the institution including defining communication objectives,key messages, audience, channels, milestones etc., to ensureconsistency in corporate messaging. 
•Work with teams in the both the Communications andMarketing Strategy & Planning departments to implementcommunication strategy and plans ensuring all initiatives,including events, CSR activities, exhibitions, digital and socialmedia engagement etc. are executed in line with thecompany’s strategy and values.
•Coordinate across the department to consolidate theannual events and initiatives schedule; support in determining theneed for outsourced vendor/agency support. 
•Support VP Communications in planning, prioritization andassignment of tasks. Reviews allocation/ utilization of resourcesin the department.
Performance Monitoring:
•Support VP Communication in developing, determining andupdating the Communication department KPIs andbalance-scorecard.
•Lead and manage themonitoring & periodic reviews of the department’sKPIs and BSC in ensuring the progress is on track and thatdepartment targets are realistic and achievable.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE &SKILLS: 
MinimumQualification:
•Bachelor’s Degree incommunications, marketing, journalism or PR
•Relevant masters or post graduate degree is highlydesirable
Minimum Experience & Knowledge& Skills
•10 years of experience inoperational planning, strategy development and cascading, internaland external communication management in any conglomerate,including at least 2-4 years of increasing managerialresponsibilities.
•Retail and Oil &Gas experience will be preferable
