Job Role: Chief Accountant

Chief Accountant Duties andResponsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team
• Conduct all necessary trainings to keep theteam's skills and knowledge up to date
• See that tax interviews are conducted properly withclients
• Ensure that all necessary documentsare requested, collected, and compiled
• Reviewcorporate and personal income tax returns to ensureaccuracy
• Advise business owners andindividuals regarding the tax code
• Oversee theprocessing of state and federal payroll taxes
• Maintain current and garner new clientrelationships
• Monitor and mentor/train juniorstaff, clerks, and bookkeepers
• Detect andaddress potential compliance issues proactively
• Maintain compliance with all state and federalregulations at all times
• Uphold the excellentreputation of our firm
• Maintain constantcommunication with IRS, State Agencies, and our clients
• See that tax consults and onboarding procedures are inplace for new clients
• Maintain highlyorganized and updated client files
• Workcollaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals
• Report directly to Operations Manager

hief Accountant Requirements andQualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensein good standing
• QuickBooks ProAdvisorcertification required
• Minimum 3years' experience in management
• Minimum 7 years' experience as a CPA in acorporate setting
• Extensive corporate andpersonal tax experience
• Exceptional computerskills, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Expertise working with QuickBooks and financialstatements
• Consistent, accurate, and thoroughwith an eye for details
• Exceptionalorganizational skills and aptitude for numbers
• Outstanding communication skills, written andverbal
• Excellent customer service andinterpersonal skills
• Outstanding phone andemail etiquette
• Able to thrive indeadline-driven environment
• Able to motivatethe team and lead by example
