 The main duties andresponsibilities of this role:

  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the HR teamin order to increase knowledge, skill set and share bestpractice.

  • Develop anddrive the SBU HR Strategy in line with Regional HR direction andmonitor its execution to ensure achievement of theobjectives.

  • Drive thecontinuous improvement agenda with particular focus on maximizingproductivity, devolving HR responsibilities and building leadershipcapability through the senior and middle managementsteams.

  • Ensure free-flowof two-way communication between SBU HR and Regional HR andinternal communications are coordinated to colleagues receiverelevant and timely messages in an appropriate style andmedium.

  • Plan &Deploy the annual HR budget and capex process and ensureP&L’s are well managed and monitored.

  • Propose changes to organizationalstructures using best practice organizational developmentprinciples to provide the most appropriate structure to supportfuture growth and flexible labour.

  • Ensure National Development initiatives are wellcommunicated and fully supported.

  • Consult on workforce planning activities in order tooptimize staffing levels, productivity and service standards in themost cost effective manner.

  • Regularly analyse and review HR statistics to identifytrends so that attention can be directed to key issues andresources adjusted accordingly.

  • Manage senior management and key HOD appointments ensuringtimely and effective recruitment and on-boarding.

  • Ensure the effective implementationof company wide Human Resources policies, procedures and practicesin accordance with the company objectives and UAE legislativerequirements.

  • EnsureColleague Opinion Survey results are communicated, analysed andaction plans are developed and reviewed on a regular basis toimprove colleagues working and living conditions.

  • Ensure Colleague ConsultativeCommittee function is deployed effectively.

  • Advise and coach management on employeerelations and performance working and living conditions.

  • Ensure all activities in performance management processare effectively executed so that colleagues have the opportunity toparticipate, receive feedback and given opportunities todevelop.
  • Coordinate & drivetalent management process in order to ensure talent management isfully embraced and the benefits fully realized.

  • Regularly coach, mentor and support seniorand high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths anddevelopment needs, develop and maintain effective relationships andencourage retention.
  • To plan, drive and deploycolleague recognition, reward and engagement activities.
  • Ensure training programmed and development opportunitiesare deployed at a consistently high standard, aligned with businessneeds and Jumeirah culture.
  • Ensure consistentstandard of customer service, health & safety, goodquality, nutritious and varied menus across colleague diningfacilities.
