Brief Description o The purpose of thisposition is to manage the 'Devices (smartphones,accessories, router, dongles, CPEs, etc.) from end-to-endperspective i.e. from forecasting, allocation, optimization,ready-for-sales and reverse logistics (Return & Exchange).o The job is managerial in nature that requires reviewing theDevices Business from holistic view including forecasting,allocations to the channel, optimizing stocks at outlets, ensuringjust-in-time movement across channel to prevent loss ofopportunity, timely returns of the non-moving stock, reporting,proactively clearing IT issues, reconciliation, market analytics,etc. o The work requires recommendations to unit director andcoordination with managers, senior manager, director and VP levelof other functions in order to execute the units plan. JobRequirements o Experience: 10+ years experience in inventory,distribution and operational procedures. Proven experience asinventory management or similar position o Communication Skills:Inventory managers will need to speak with coworkers and customerson a regular basis. o Leadership Skills: Inventory managers willneed to manage a team and resolve conflicts, as well as keep theteam motivated and on-task. Positive attitude towards work. oCritical-Thinking Skills: Inventory managers will need to deviseplans of action and asses those plans regularly. o Organizational& Planning Skills: Multiple orders, people and many movingpieces will keep inventory managers on their toes. oProblem-Solving Skills: Inventory managers will need to be readywhen problems arise, or be ready to anticipate problems before theyhappen o Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecastingmethods o Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g.ERP, Wincash, CBCB, etc.) o Ability to accurately track inventoryand create reports o An analytical mind with strong Microsoft excelskills o Reliable and trustworthy o Bachelors degree in businessadministration. logistics or relevant field; o Relevantqualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plus
Planning & Organization oUnderstand and manage the needs of various sales channel fordevices and do rolling forecasting and planning to meet unitsdevices requirements o Optimization of stock of each SKUs wise,device wise, etc (all items under Device Management team) in eachoutlets, partners for maximum revenue opportunity o Daily analysisof the stock available in each outlet & channel andaccordingly move stocks accurately for replacement o Understandmarket dynamics of devices (marketing research, update marketintelligence, competition) and demand appropriate stocks fromrelevant department with recommendation to unit director o Managethe analytics, organize reporting of all devices in terms of sales,stock on hand, movements, potential shortfalls and highlight keyrisks to unit director in meeting objectives and goals oProgressively learn about emerging technologies in the area ofinventory management. Proactively clearing systems issues such asreconciliation, systems status discrepancy, system uniformity, etc.o Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies orexcessive surplus and analyze data to anticipate future needs oCollaborate with warehouse and other staff to ensure business goalsare met and sales opportunities are met o Financial Excellence:Budgets, Revenue/Profit & Costs o Contribute towardsmeeting profit and loss (P&L) for the devices management. oContribute towards introducing controls that will prevent loss ofsales opportunity o Customer Excellence: Internal/External CustomerEngagement & Relationship Management o Design and controlthe Customer Experience that assist in facilitating devices to thecustomers o Monitor, analyse and take action on customer data,market data and channel data in order to resolve their issues andimplement preventive actions o Engagement with external partnersforging strategic alliances in improving operational excellences oPeople Excellence: Learning & Growth o Regularparticipation in the relevant learning sessions conducted by thecompany o Provide continuous inputs and support to other teammembers with a view to ensure continuous improvement andintegration of best practice and standards. o Work with otherfunctions and facilitate meeting units objectives and goals o Agreewith direct supervisor in acquiring additional skills that isrequired to carry out this role o Process Excellence: OperationalEfficiency & Risk Management o Design control processesthat will allow devices inventory flow seamlessly from end-to-endperspective. o Manage compliance with telecom regulatory body,company policies, government and cultural sensitivities to minimizecompany risks. o Create processes to optimize manual work inmanaging devices. o Introduce initiatives to automate andstreamline manual operations.
