Job Role: Web Designer &Developer

The Web Designer & Developer,reports to the Chief, IT Division within the Finance Department atthe Arab Monetary Fund. The web designer & developer isresponsible for the design, layout and coding of AMF website andAMF Web Applications. He/She is involved with the technical andgraphical aspects of a website - how the site works and how itlooks. He/She is also involved with the maintenance and update ofan existing website and Intranet.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Manage and perform hands-on activities for the completeapplication development cycle for AMF website projects: Performrequirement gathering/ design/ development/ customization/ test/implementation tasks for web content management systems such asDrupal, following best practices and standards, product roadmap andtranslate user requirements into systems specifications.

• Provide first level maintenance,enhancement, and troubleshooting support for web content managementand hosting system/applications.

• Perform enhancement and customization to implementedsolutions, as and when required.

• Run and analyze QA tests.

• Provide administration/management and monitoring supportfor all web applications.

• Provide support on installation, configuration, upgrade,and maintenance of the content management systems, website hostingenvironment, log analytics tool/software management, website searchsoftware/tool, and website security managementsoftware/tool.

• Preparation and maintenance of documentation: Ensurenecessary technical documentation for tools and modules is inplace. Prepare application documentation, update procedures andprocesses as necessary. Measure and periodically report on keyperformance indicators.

• Research, evaluation of new technologies: Conduct researchand make recommendations on web tools/software and services forexternal-facing websites; Assist in tools/software selection andvendor evaluations.

PositionRequirements

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or ComputerScience from a recognized university.

• At least five years work experience ofdeveloping web systems with Drupal and other PHP-basedimplementations, JavaScript, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL or otherflavours), Node.js

• Expertunderstanding of Drupal’s code structure, modulearchitecture, and theming components.

• Expertise in authoring and extending Drupalmodules.

• Experience inAdvanced site-building including deep familiarity with Drupalmultisite, Drupal Modules CTools, Views, Features, and FeatureOverrides.

• Experienceusing Drush commands, maintenance scripts, and a web-basedrepository such as GitHub

• Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS,HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery, and RSS technologies

• Proficiency in PHP, PHP files andtheme functions, Drupal theme layer, Apache, MySQL, the Linux Shelland have experimented with various JavaScript frameworks.

• Ability to design enterprise Drupalsolutions, with consideration for data, display, and informationarchitecture, and to create RSS feeds for DigitalSignage.

• Experience withPingdom or other site monitoring service.

• Experience with Google Analytics, campaignmanagement, and tagging.

• Must have a strong understanding of UI cross-browsercompatibility general web functions and standards.

• Mastery of Adobe CreativeSuite

• Familiar with theagile development methodology.

• Arab National.

• Arabic and English Language skills are a must, French isan advantage.
