Job Description
InvestmentExecution
- Undertakeinitial screening of investment opportunities againstclient's investment criteria
- Buildfinancial models for evaluating investment opportunities andprovide inputs for strategic recommendations whereappropriate
- Assist investmentmanagers/department head with commercial and financial duediligence on companies, perform market research and financialanalysis, including review of historical and projected financialinformation
- Contribute to the drafting ofinvestment papers for review by investment managers/department headbefore submission to the Investment Committee
InvestmentManagement
- Supportall aspects of investment management of portfolio companiesincluding monitoring operational performance, analysing monthlyfinancial statements, prepare quarterly valuations using variousvaluation methodologies
- Preparemonthly/quarterly update reports for submission to the ExecutiveCommittee
BusinessDevelopment
- Supportthe development of a pipeline of new investment / businessopportunities by conducting targeted research and providingrecommendations in relation to the identification of newopportunities consistent with the investment strategy and growthplans of the client
- Build and maintainexcellent relationships with a range of external advisory firms,investment banks and other key stakeholders
Research and ProjectDelivery
- Conductdetailed research across various sectors at request of seniormanagement
- Prepare reports, research papers,strategic analysis and presentations of a sufficiently highstandard for senior management
Reporting and WorkingRelationships
- Reportto Director on all activates related to ownresponsibilities
- Liaise with external andinternal parties on corporate finance / investment matters asrequired
- Exhibit and maintain excellent andsupportive relationships internally within the company
Continuous Improvement ofPosition
- Conductregular research and studies to enhance industry knowledge byattending relevant conferences and seminars
The Successful Applicant
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, orBusiness from a top-tier university.
- CharteredFinancial Analyst (CFA) (at least cleared Level I) or Master ofBusiness Administration (MBA) from a globally-recognised businessschool would be an added advantage.
- Minimum of2 years of post-degree work experience in top tier firms withinInvestment banking / Principal investments / Corporate finance /Mergers & acquisitions / Private equity / Venture capitalor management consulting
- Preferably some timespent working within the technology sector.
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, includingfinancial modelling in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and interpersonal communicationskills
- Ability to relate sensitively to a wideand diverse range of individuals and organisations
- Energetic and enthusiastic individual with the ability towork on their own initiative with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Willing to travel, as required
