General Duties andResponsibilities
- Follow the standard procedure, preparation timings,cooking temperature.
- Sets up food service,kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, underdetailed instruction, in accordance with specific area needs;checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for dailyoperations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment asassigned.
- Conveys food and supplies from themain kitchen, bakery, and/or salad preparation area to the servingsite either by carrying or by utilizing a motorizedcart.
- Follows prescribed procedures in settingup hot and cold food lines; chooses proper utensils and sets steamline to appropriate temperature for menu items.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and coldmeat and vegetable dishes, beverages, salads, sandwiches, piefillings, simple bakery items, salad dressings, and/or othersimilar food items, as appropriate to the position.
- Fills ice cream, yogurt, and/or ice machines, if presentin area of operation; ensures that machines are cleaned andmaintained, as necessary.
- Attends today-to-day issues and needs concerning equipment and food supplies;detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food,defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusualconditions.
- May clean and maintain work areas,including floors, facilities, utensils, and equipment; collects andplaces garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriateto the area of operation.
- Washes pots, pans,and other service ware ensuring sanitary handling; organizes andreplaces service ware to appropriate location.
- May provide guidance and training to other traineeemployees.
- Performs miscellaneous job-relatedduties as assigned.
- Follow the hygiene andHACCP as per the Municipality standards.
