    Senior Procurement Specialist (UAE National)

    Job Summary:


    As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the procurement process within our organization.

    You will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services, vendor management, contract negotiations, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.

    Your expertise will be instrumental in driving efficiency, cost savings, and compliance in our procurement operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish partnerships with vendors to ensure the best terms and conditions for procurement.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and favourable pricing while minimizing supply chain risks.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs through negotiation, process improvement, and alternative sourcing strategies.
    • Draft, review, and manage contracts, including terms and conditions, performance metrics, and compliance requirements.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to make informed procurement decisions.
    • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to company policies, relevant regulations, and ethical standards.
    • Collaborate with finance to monitor and manage procurement budgets, providing regular reports and cost analysis.
    • Develop and implement supplier performance evaluation programs to assess supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and legal to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, legal compliance, and vendor instability.
    • Leverage procurement software and tools to streamline processes, manage contracts, and improve data-driven decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a proven track record of cost savings and vendor relationship management.
    • Strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of contract management.
    • Knowledge of procurement best practices, market analysis, and supply chain management.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (SAP)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
    • Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
