    Description

    Procurement Manager

    Join our team as a Procurement Manager and play a key role in driving business growth through strategic procurement practices.

    • Develop and Manage Vendor Base
      • Maintain an approved vendor and material list to ensure commercially sound procurement practices.
      • Ensure pre-qualification standards are met to guarantee quality and reliability.
    • Liaise with Stakeholders
      • Collaborate with site and management teams to establish a procurement plan that considers lead times, logistics, and other factors.
      • Ensure timely pricing and avoid project delays through effective planning.
    • Oversee Procurement Activities
      • Manage the purchasing of project materials, machinery, subcontractors, and manpower supply in accordance with the BOQ, specifications, contract, and budget.
      • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
    • Manage RFQs and POs
      • Manage project RFQs, commercial evaluations, and POs to ensure efficient and effective procurement practices.
      • Ensure timely and accurate processing of RFQs and POs.
    • Support Projects and Finance Team
      • Support projects and the finance team in controlling costs and cash flow planning.
      • Undertake bid versus buy analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness.
    • Research and Identify Suppliers
      • Research and identify suppliers and changes in materials to ensure cost savings.
      • Implement procurement strategies to enable cost reductions and process simplification.
    • Manage Supplier Contracts
      • Manage supplier contracts (SLAs) to achieve cost, delivery, quality, and service targets.
      • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Experience:
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in Landscaping and Irrigation Contracting in the GCC, preferably in the UAE.
    • Education:
      • Bachelor or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, or Construction Management.
    • Knowledge and Skills:
      • Thorough knowledge of eSourcing and/or eEvaluation ERP/BID Management systems.
      • Thorough knowledge of all materials used in soft and hard Landscaping, including irrigation, fertilizers, chemicals, tiles, and paving, aggregates, wood works, and carpentry, lighting, MEP, swimming pools, and water features.
      • Excellent negotiating and communication skills in various languages, with English being a must and Arabic being an added advantage.
