Education and Experience_

  • At least 45+ years of experience in the industry of fashion/apparel industry preferable in the couture industry
  • An understanding of fashion is preferred

Skills_

  • Must know how to cut garments based on the pattern maker developed patterns
  • Can alter the grading when required
  • Can convey instructions to tailors clearly in English and supervise the outcome and finish
  • Should have strong tailoring skills
  • Has good knowledge in pattern making so he can follow pattern provided for execution
  • A team player attitude with Good communication skills
  • Have excellent technical knowledge and skill
  • Must be detail oriented

Duties and Responsibilities_

  • Draw and cut out sets of patterns for specified ranges of garment sizes as well as grading (increasing or decreasing dimensions)
  • Must have superior sewing ability and be able to communicate effectively with designers and their assistants, as well as sampling and production areas of the company
  • Create Pattern as advised by the Designer including pattern grading
  • Assist in filling up the size chart for reference

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
