    What you will do

    As a Project Engineer you will be based in Dubai and will be reporting to our Service manager GMOSMEA. Under general direction you will plan and control execution of assigned projects and service jobs for our Marine business. You will act as the Subject Matter expert and primary onsite leader for execution teams assigned.

    This position will help you gain experience in Project management while you contribute to our customers and field operations team.


    As a project engineer you will be accountable to maximize revenue and profitability by focusing and driving operational excellence and execution within either field operations or installation and thus ensure to achieve gross margin and productivity levels on existing contracts.

    How you will do it


    As an experienced project engineer you will be using your technical skills and expertise to support & development of service and Retrofit projects.

    You will lead site surveys and bring out the report for the Sales team to submit the proposal or to carry out the actual job onboard.

    Depending on the project size you will lead a multidisciplined team of site engineers technicians and designers.

    You will be responsible for creating sequence of operations bill of materials project plan and arranging other related documents such as flow diagrams network layouts and electrical schematics etc.

    as required.

    You will be accountable for staffing and capacity planning of the project delivery teams and for ensuring effective utilization of manpower and overall resources.

    Interfaces with the Field delivery team to control manpower to proper staffing levels where needed.


    As a project engineer you will coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals installation and manage selection ordering warehousing and logistics of materials as required for the project.

    Also where appropriate liaise with the Supply Chain Department.

    You will be also Responsible for flawless and profitable project execution in compliance with contractual obligations (accurate ontime billed within budget & scope of contract) and Proactively manages risks to project and margin achievability through analyzing financial reporting systems and project schedules.

    You will Calibrate solutions and establish project recovery plans.


    As an experienced professional you will investigate opportunities for improvements in the project scope that will result in value added change orders and perform associated cost estimates prepare proposals and secure customer acceptance.

    You will be involved in prebid process assesses potential risks to project and margin achievability and provides the field sales organization with objective and reliable information related to engineering design cost of labor material and subcontractors etc.

    You will also assist in the presales development process including plan and spec and negotiated scope sales and provides technical sales assistance to an opportunity in the sales process.

    What we look for

    Required

    Bachelors degree in engineering or an associate degree in a related technical field

    Minimum 12 years experience in Fire and complex security package project execution/management as a project engineer. 56 years of experience as a service/project engineer in maritime/offshore industry preferred.


    Must be experienced in estimation and preparation of BOQ for Fire and security systems according to latest marine and offshore standards.

    Profound understanding of Fire detection suppression PAGA and Security systems and various marine & offshore classification body requirements.

    Experience in handling EDS and cyber security concepts will be an added advantage.

    Strong project management skills including the ability to plan schedule and execute HVAC projects from conception to completion.


    Handson experience with Fire and security system installation commissioning troubleshooting & familiarity with HVAC control systems for retrofit replacement and new build projects.

    Experience with project management software and tools especially project planning ones.

    Basic knowledge of Technical design and engineering.

    Proficiency in budgeting cost estimation and financial management for HVAC projects

    Strong leadership and team management skills and business acumen

    Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients contractors architects and other stakeholders.

    Fluent in English
