Description

Responsibilities:

Create accurate and detailed 3D models of structural steel and concrete elements using Tekla Structures software.

Develop fabrication and construction drawings based on project specifications, architectural and engineering drawings, and industry standards.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and resolve design issues.

Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the preparation of drawings.

Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between different trades within the model.

Generate bills of materials (BOM) and material take-offs for estimating and procurement purposes.

Collaborate with the fabrication and construction teams to address design-related queries and provide clarifications.

Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, design changes, and project coordination.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, software updates, and advancements in Tekla Structures.

Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as a Tekla detailer in the structural steel and concrete industry.

Proficiency in using Tekla Structures software to create 3D models and generate fabrication and construction drawings.

Strong knowledge of structural steel and concrete detailing practices, codes, and standards.

Familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve design conflicts and issues.

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
