Camp Boss/ Welfare Officer - Mussafah, United Arab Emirates - Galfar Engineering and Contracting
Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate in any discipline with 10+years' experience in construction industry
- Minimum 5years experience required in GCC from reputed contracting company
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Camp operational activities in the camp under his supervision, ensuring the daily good management of the location.
- Responsible and accountable for complete facilities management, arranging periodic maintenance and overall supervision of the camp accommodation, housekeeping and personnel staying in the camp.
- Ensure timely renewal of Municipality, Civil defense Inspection and approval
- Participate in all client audits and support for proper closeout on timely manner.
- Responsible to provide a proper furnished accommodation with all the necessary facilities that guarantee a comfortable stay for the residents which includes in ensuring the rooms are furnished with furniture and sleeping accessories (pillow, blanket and mattress) for every resident.
- Ensure camp staff maintain a healthy condition inside the accommodation by using the right cleaning and sterilizing protocols with special attention to communal areas, dining facilities and toilet areas.
- Create and maintain an accommodation complaint reporting process ensuring all complaints are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Maintain a room allocation register for all residents providing suitable accommodation for any newly hire staff.
- Maintain an updated record of all residents staying in accommodation with correct contact details.
- Coordinate with project HSE departments to assist in implementing company health & safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct periodical pest control campaigns to keep the premises free of crawling insects and rodents.
- Ensure all areas of the accommodation is clean and free from waste, reminding all residence on using the correct waste facilities available.
- Carry out the daily, weekly and monthly duties as laid out by the Company and below detailed.
- Fill and keep record of administrative forms in accordance with the Company rules.
- Manage the team of expatriate's staff working at the camp and increase their motivation.
- Supervise and take part in the training of staff, according to the rules of HSE, Food Hygiene and Safety, HACCP, etc.
- Responsible for requests made to warehouse, stocking and stock checking in addition to cost control reporting according to the rules made by the Company, always ensuring a minimum stock quantity for each item.
- Coordinate with catering team for Monthly Inventory with reported expiry date of all products.
- Fill the Local staff Time sheet and attendance register.
- Responsible for the effective cleaning of the kitchen and all its corresponding areas, the dining area and stores, in accordance with the food Hygiene and Safety rules.
- Supervise the preparation of all meals and ensure that menus established are being adhered to
- Ensure that all food, products and merchandise are in conformity with the Company standards.
- To help identify methods that will offer cost savings and efficiency.
