The Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) is seeking an experienced Lead Swim Coach in Dubai.

JESS is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join the thriving Sports Department at JESS (Arabian Ranches & Jumeirah) as the Lead Swim Coach.

We are looking for someone who is a Level 2 or 3 coach and has a background in performance swimming.

They must be passionate about sport and wish to share this with enthusiastic and energetic young people. The ability to teach and coach from 'Learn to Swim' to developing elite swimmers will be necessary.

The role involves the following:

To promote, lead and coordinate the swim programme across JESS
Lead training for team squads (under 8 to under 18) and teach curriculum lessons
Be able to lead on 'Learn to Swim' progressions and schemes of work and identify

- success criteria for ages and ability

Squad and Team selection
Organise galas and open meets
Assist with other lessons, sports, teams and activities
Being involved in after school and weekend fixtures for all sports
Being an integral part of the department and school community
An ability to work as part of a team
Good communication, administrative and organisational skills
Be able to carry out the administrative tasks of team selection, event selection, and

- communication with parents and other schools

To improve and develop links with local clubs
Liaise with our external provider on the provision of swimming at JESS
Be an integral part of the school community

- be fully qualified and experienced Swim Coach with a relevant degree in Sports Science and/or a relevant professional coaching qualification
- have extensive coaching experience
