    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for proactively soliciting andmanaging large group/catering related opportunities withsignificant revenue potential. Manages group/catering opportunitiesnot handled by an Event Booking Center (EBC). Actively upsells eachbusiness opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achievespersonal and team related revenue goals. Verifies business isturned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper servicedelivery. Responsible for driving customer/guest loyalty bydelivering service excellence throughout each customer/guestexperience. Provides service to customers in order to grow theaccount on behalf of the company.

    CANDIDATEPROFILE

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in thesales and marketing guest services front desk or relatedprofessional area. OR 2year degree from an accredited university inBusiness Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Managementor related major; no work experience required

    Understanding MarketOpportunities & Driving Revenue

    • Targets group/catering accounts markets or segments withheavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
    • Partners with group/catering counterpart toeffectively manage the business opportunity.
    • Responds to incoming group/catering opportunities for the propertythat are outside parameters of the . Handles all opportunities ifproperty does not participate in an EBC.
    • Identifies qualifies and solicits new group/catering business toachieve personal and each property s revenue goals.
    • Focuses efforts on group/catering accounts withsignificant potential sales revenue.
    • Develops effective group/catering sales plans and actions.
    • Designs develops and sells creative cateredevents.
    • Maximizes revenue by upsellingpackages and creative food and beverage.
    • Understands the overall market competitors strengths and weaknesseseconomic trends supply and demand etc. and knows how to sellagainst them.
    • Closes the best opportunitiesfor each property based on market conditions and individualproperty needs.
    • Uses negotiating skills andcreative selling abilities to close on business and negotiatecontracts.

    Providing ExceptionalCustomer Service

    • Handles complexbusiness with significant revenue potential as well as significantcustomer expectations.
    • Builds andstrengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enablefuture bookings. Activities include sales calls entertainment FAMtrips trade shows etc.
    • Developsrelationships within community to strengthen and expand customerbase for group/catering sales opportunities.
    • Supports brand s Service and Relationship Strategy driving customerloyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customerexperience.
    • Provides excellent customerservice in order to grow share of the account.
    • Executes brand s Customer Service Standards and propertys Brand Standards.
    • Executes and supports thebusiness Customer Service Standards and property s Brand Standards.
    • Participates in and practices daily servicebasics of the brand.
    • Executes exemplarycustomer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty byassisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before andduring their program/event.
    • Serves thecustomer by understanding their needs and recommending theappropriate features and services that best meet their needs andexceed their expectations while building a relationship and loyaltyto the property and brand.
    • Gainsunderstanding of the property s primary target customer and serviceexpectations; serves the customer by understanding their businessbusiness issues and concerns to offer better business solution bothprior to and during the program/event.

    Building Successful Relationships

    • Works collaboratively with offproperty sales channels(e.g. Market Sales Strategic Accounts) to ensure sales efforts arecoordinated complementary and not duplicative.
    • Manages and develops relationships with key internal andexternal stakeholders.
    • Uses sales resourcesand administrative/support staff.
