- To serve guests in accordance withSofitel standards of food and beverage quality, presentation andsanitation, in a gracious and professionalmanner.
- To take pride in all facets of service,quality, appearance and cleanliness, in yourself and your area ofresponsibility.
- To understand and adhere toBeverage Department Standard Operating Procedures and to always belooking to recommend improvements to thoseprocedures.
- To professionally set up bar at thestart of opening, including liquor, icing, glassware, juices andgarnishes.
- To process drink orders in propercalling order, to check for correct number of drinks and managebilling quickly and efficiently.
- To make allcocktails in accordance with Sofitel standard beverage manual,using full standard measures
- Barman willreceive and check liquor against previous shift'srequisitions. Any discrepancies with the receiving order should bebrought to the attention of the F&BSupervisor.
- To manage security in the workarea, and at no time to leave the bar area unless properly relievedby a colleague.
- Assist with cleanup - moppingfloors, removal of cans and bottles, general cleaning of rails andcounters, removal of melting ice in bins
- Minimum 2 years Bartending experiencein a same or similar environment.
- Impeccablewine, beer and cocktail knowledge.
- Passion forFood, Beverage and providing excellent customerservice.
- Ability tomulti-task.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing,garnishing and serving drinks.
- Positiveattitude and excellent communication skills both oral andwritten.
- Ability to keep the bar organized,stocked and clean.
