Summary:

Our client, a commercially driven government entity is seeking an experienced CFO to join their growing team, this is for a sizeable entity where you will be overseeing all finance related activities, and cash management of the company.

The CFO will also support the investment team in value creation across financial matters and manages the relationship between the company and the financial community.


The role:

  • Participate in Management Committee to provide financial advice and insights for various business and financial decisions
  • Act as part of company's leadership team and Management to shape strategy, business plan priorities and annual plans
  • Assist CEO by recommending changes to funding sources to achieve long term sustainability objectives
  • Oversee annual financial planning and budgeting cycle and monitor the preparation of financial plans and forecasts in alignment with the defined business plans
  • Oversee the development, refinement and implementation of all finance and procurement policies, procedures and control systems
  • Oversee the definition and enforcement of accounting standards on all levels and ensure all accounting records are accurate, reliable, and timely
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to CEO to make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
  • Oversee the development of consolidated financials and management reports and supervise budget development process in coordination with department heads
  • Monitor and evaluate of performance of the finance team on a regular basis, coach, and provide opportunities for continuous learning and development
Client requirements

  • Minimum 12 years' relevant experience, with 35 years in a senior financial management role across financial planning and reporting, analysis and management
  • Acquires strong experience in GAAP, IFRS, and local market accounting standards
  • Aware of local market statutory reporting, financial systems and financial reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate finance, financial due diligence, government financial accounting policies and procedures
  • Finance certification would be desirable (ACCA, CPA, ACA, etc.)
