    • Ensures that Area and Executivemanagement received the correct information on in-progress as wellas outstanding tenders so that the most informed decisions can bemade operationally.
    • Reviews tender documentsincluding detailed review of the Instructions to Tenderers, Scopeof Work, key contract dates, commercial price forms and terms ofpayment, as a minimum.
    • Co-chairs bid kick-offmeetings, and schedules progress meetings asrequired.
    • Ensures the bid development and bidinputs remain in accordance with the Capture Plan strategiesdeveloped in advance (or as subsequentlyrevised).
    • Monitors bid support budgets andadvises Proposals Manager of any potential foroverrun.
    • Establishes the bid schedule andcommunicates requirements to all departments providing proposalinputs.
    • Updates schedules as required asrequired in the event of extension beinggranted.
    • Monitors progress of the biddingactivity and highlights concerns to the ProposalsManager.
    • Sets up and maintains a clarificationregister to log and monitor all pre- and post-bidcorrespondence.
    • Reviews and identifies anyinconsistencies in the Invitation to Tender documents and, ifnecessary, seek clarification from thecustomer.
    • Coordinates input, issues requestsfor clarification and distributes clarification responses and BidAddenda as received from the customer and includes summary ofmatters addressed in the same whenfeasible.
    • Reviews bid inputs and check thatthere are no errors, inconsistencies, oversights, and that theexecution plan inputs are in accordance with the Capture Planstrategies.
    • Expedites input to ensure that thebidding schedule is not jeopardized.
    • Reviewsregularly the proposal document to ensure that the requirements ofthe customer are fully satisfied in terms of format, content andconsistency.
    • Compiles the proposal documentintended for submission to thecustomer.
    • Ensures that the relevant generalmanager (or his assigned delegate) has approved inputs that areused in the final bid.
    • Preparestechnical/commercial qualifications.
    • Preparesall reports and bid review packages as defined in the proceduredocument to satisfy Management bid reviewrequirements.
    • Ensures the correct deliveryarrangements have been made and confirmed in advance asrequired.
    • Assists with clientnegotiations.
    • Promotes a culture of teamwork,collaboration and success. Learns from otherleaders.
    • Develops and maintains a positiverelationship with internal functions and clients. Hasaccountability for timely bid submission.
    • Mayhave bottom-line accountability for the financial and technicalsuccess of the bid or area of bidresponsibility.
